Although many of us dream of escaping away to somewhere more sunny than our own mild shores, there are so many places in Britain that make for a wonderful life. Whatever you’re looking for, whether that’s a huge metropolis or a small village, there’s something here for everyone. Here we’ve compiled a list of just a few of our favourite places.
At the end of 2018, Edinburgh was named the best place to live, not just in the UK, but in the world! By measuring social, economic and environmental parametres against 100 other cities in the world, Arcadis concluded that Edinburgh came on top. The city is covered in green space, has impressively low crime rates, is a relatively cheap place to live, has plenty of job opportunities and thriving culture.
Bristol is another city in the UK that is absolutely brimming with culture. As the UK’s spiritual home of graffiti, the streets of areas like Stokes Croft are adorned with stunning murals and street art and the music and art scenes in the city are peerless (apart from London) in England. There are also loads of job opportunities available and, although the house prices are rising, they’re still a far sight cheaper than London.
Closer to home here in Essex, Epping is one of the most picturesque towns in the county. Nestled in Epping Forest, the town retains great transport links with London whilst being close to the countryside if you want to stretch you legs and be close to nature. It’s a perfect place to relocate if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of London, but still live close enough to work there or visit regularly.
If you’re looking to relocate in the UK, or even across Europe, Essex Removals are on hand to help. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, we’re best placed to help residents and businesses move.
